Cookies & Local Storage

Last updated: August 2026

Domby uses a small amount of browser storage, cookies and local storage, to make the app work. This page explains exactly what's stored, why, and for how long. There's nothing here for tracking, advertising, or selling your data. We don't use any of that.

What we store

What Purpose Type
Session token Keeps you signed in between visits. Essential
Theme preference Remembers whether you last chose light or dark mode. Essential
Notification read state Remembers which notifications you've already seen, per tenancy. Essential
Cookie notice Remembers that you've dismissed this notice, so we don't show it again. Essential

What we don't use

No advertising cookies, no third party tracking or analytics cookies, and no cookies that follow you across other websites. Everything listed above exists only to make Domby function. None of it is optional in the way a marketing cookie would be, which is why this notice is a one time heads up rather than a cookie by cookie opt out menu.

How this is stored

Most of the above lives in your browser's local storage rather than a traditional cookie file, though it serves the same purpose and this policy covers it the same way. It stays on your device until you clear your browser data or sign out, and it's never sent to anyone except Domby's own servers.
