These terms govern your use of Domby, a property and rent management platform operated by Domby Technologies Ltd. ("Domby", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Domby, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.
What Domby is
Domby helps landlords track properties, tenants, rent payments, and maintenance requests, and send reminders and notices. Tenants added by a landlord can optionally create their own account to view their rent status, payment history, and maintenance requests.
Domby is a record keeping and communication tool. Rent payments are currently recorded manually by landlords after they're received through their usual method, like bank transfer or cash. Domby does not process rent payments on your behalf at this time.
Accounts
You need an account to use Domby. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
Landlord responsibilities
If you add a property or tenant to Domby, you're confirming that you have the right to manage that property and that you're authorized to store that tenant's information for the purpose of managing the tenancy. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, including rent amounts, lease dates, and payment records.
Acceptable use
Please don't use Domby to break the law, harass anyone, or misrepresent a property or tenancy. Please don't try to access another user's account or data without permission, or attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the platform. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Plans and billing
Domby offers a Free plan, limited to one property and up to five tenants, and a Pro plan with unlimited properties and tenants, priced at ₦5,000 per month or ₦50,000 per year. Pro includes a 7 day free trial. Starting it requires a card, which is verified with a refundable ₦50 charge; you are only billed the plan price if the trial is not cancelled before it ends.
Online billing through our payment provider isn't live yet. Until it is, upgrading to Pro won't charge you automatically, and we'll be clear about that in the product. Once billing is live, we'll update these terms with the specifics of cancellation and refunds.
Your content
You keep ownership of the property, tenant, and payment information you add to Domby. You give us permission to store and process that information for the purpose of providing the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Domby's intellectual property
The Domby name, logo, and the platform itself belong to Domby Technologies Ltd. These terms don't grant you any rights to our brand or software beyond using the platform as intended.
Termination
You can stop using Domby and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.
No warranty
Domby is provided as is. We work to keep it reliable and accurate, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we're not responsible for decisions you make based on information stored in it, such as rent amounts or lease dates you've entered yourself.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Domby Technologies Ltd. isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim related to Domby is limited to the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim, if any.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Domby grows. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Domby after a change means you accept the updated terms.
